PROJECT: Readifi
‘Readifi’, my University major project, was an attempt to bridge the gap of traditional reading with the digitalised landscape of today. An app which stored the names of all the books a user had read in the past, and added to their library, it was intended to be an aesthetically pleasing record of their reading history. I explored the idea of adding a social network layer to the app, as well.
Using an aesthetic that blended both digital design and traditional book cues, I created the logo, the colour palette, taking cues from the traditional browns of books, and all the appropriate visual content needed in the app, as well as a clickable prototype of the screens. I also handcrafted two fonts for use within the app. Predominately, I used Illustrator for vector images and pattern making, and Photoshop.
